The Lead Mechanical Operations Technician balances advanced hands-on technical execution with operational oversight to maintain high-speed form, fill, and seal manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for driving machinery reliability, performing complex troubleshooting, and actively mentoring and coordinating junior technicians on the production floor. Serving as the primary technical point of contact, this role ensures both equipment optimization and the adherence of shift personnel to strict operational standards.
Qualified candidates must possess over two years of hands-on technician experience specializing in form, fill, and seal machinery or high-speed manufacturing environments. Effective communication skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities are essential for effectively guiding junior staff through complex repairs. Candidates must be fully committed to working a 12-hour night shift and completing up to one month of preparatory training on the day shift.

- Guide, train, and mentor junior technicians, serving as the technical escalation point for complex repairs and field conflicts
- Direct and execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to optimize machine uptime across the shift
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul a variety of form, fill, and seal machinery to sustain high production standards
- Investigate complex mechanical failures and troubleshoot intricate electrical equipment to implement permanent corrective fixes
- Monitor equipment performance and delegate specific daily repair tasks to junior staff to ensure efficient shift execution
- Step in to assist with direct machine operation as needed to keep production lines running smoothly
