The Senior Program Manager would be responsible for working closely with Engineering to manage a development program or a project. May need to intercede with Engineering Management to accomplish objectives. Work outcomes may encompass product development, services or both. Manages and ensures the timely completion of specific, defined technical programs or projects.

responsibilities:
- Bid & Proposal Management: Lead or contribute to bid and proposal efforts, ensuring 100% compliance with RFP requirements for existing accounts.
- Business Growth: Partner with Business Development to actively identify and capture new business opportunities.
- Customer & External Representation: Act as the primary customer point of contact for contract execution, and represent management at program reviews, industry meetings, and seminars.
- Negotiations & Compliance: Prepare for and lead contract/subcontract negotiations to protect company interests while maintaining strict adherence to government regulations (e.g., FAR) and company policies.
- Financial & Budget Control: Allocate, manage, and report on program budgets (labor, materials, travel, and services). Perform cost and schedule variance analysis (using EVMS) for senior management.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate risks across the program lifecycle. Escalate schedule or budget issues early, implement corrective action plans, and secure management approval for baseline changes.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate across internal departments (Engineering, Contracts Administration, Project Teams) to resolve contractual issues, manage scope changes, and ensure on-time, on-budget material delivery.
