Civil Substation Engineer for a company that provides Transmission and Distribution products and services for the electrical power industry. Our client is located near Hoover, AL. Responsible for the design of transmission line/substation structures and foundations.

responsibilities:
- Design of transmission line/substation structures and foundations
- Required to interpret written client specifications and be able to assist in the preparation of Preliminary Designs and Proposals.
- Responsible for carrying out project management from onset of the contract through the delivery of the product or completion of the project
- Design of EHV, HV, and MV transmission structures using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, or Electrical Engineering degree
- Must have at least two (2) years of civil/structure design experience
- Experience in substation structure design with STAAD or similar software
- E.I.T certification
- Registered PE License
- Background in electric power utilities from a consulting engineering firm
- Proficient with PLS-CADD/ PLS-Pole
