responsibilities:
- Use AutoCAD Mechanical to plan, draft, and modify production floor layouts, balancing assembly lines, optimizing material flow, and designing ergonomic workstations.
- Conduct cycle time studies, process mapping, and line-balancing analyses to establish accurate time standards in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB).
- Author, update, and deploy clear, visual Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and build guides for shop-floor assembly operators.
- Configure and monitor routing and line data within SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to ensure compliance, accurate job costing, and reliable quote data.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate line/facility moves, submit Capital Equipment Requests (CERs), and support site-wide standardization goals.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Industrial Engineering experience in an active manufacturing or electronics assembly environment.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Mechanical to design 2D plant layouts, workstation setups, and tooling configurations.
- Proven experience conducting time studies, calculating line efficiency, and setting standard work times.
- Deep understanding of assembly line balancing, process mapping, workstation ergonomics, and Lean manufacturing fundamentals.
- Experience working with SAP, MES, MS Visio, or dedicated manufacturing databases.
