Growing manufacturer in the Maumee area is seeking a VP of Sales and Service to add to their team. This position is a great next professional step for a manager or director seeking an opportunity for professional growth! The VP is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance and financial success of the company's customer support and field service/parts sales functions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar and at least 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. At least 5 years of leadership experience managing field service, aftermarket and sales required. Knowledge of industrial automation systems required. Will relocate for the right candidate!

responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive service and aftermarket growth strategy to increase recurring revenue and profitability.
- Direct and lead a team of 15 field service technicians alongside technical support, spare parts, and service engineering personnel.
- Drive aftermarket sales growth with existing accounts by expanding maintenance agreements, audit contracts, and similar recurring annual programs.
- Establish service business objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational performance metrics.
- Expand offerings in spare parts, retrofits, modernization projects, training, and remote support services.
- Manage annual service department budgets, monitor financial performance, and maximize gross margins.
- Act as the executive point of contact for key customers and lead customer satisfaction and issue resolution efforts.
- Recruit, coach, and retain top service personnel while building leadership capabilities within the organization.
- Improve service delivery, scheduling efficiency, resource utilization, and operational workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations Management.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in industrial automation, packaging, or custom machinery.
- 5+ years managing service, aftermarket, technical support, or field service teams.
- Proven experience managing departmental budgets and overall financial performance.
- Track record of executing service strategies that boost revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Deep knowledge of industrial automation, robotics, PLCs, controls, and manufacturing.
- strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and account management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically (about 15%) as needed.
- Preferred experience with custom automation, FANUC robotics, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Preferred background directly leading service-focused organizations.
