A Field Commissioning Engineer is needed for a leading cooling technology OEM to lead site-based startup, testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification of mechanical and process systems. In this customer-facing role, you will ensure equipment is installed and operating according to design specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. You will also coordinate cross-functional efforts among engineering teams, contractors, and site personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidates must hold 3+ years of field commissioning experience with MEP/ HVAC systems found proficiency in P&ID interpretation, system startup, instrumentation, and PLC-controlled equipment is required. Extensive travel availability and familiarity with cooling systems or data center infrastructure are highly required. Candidates can anticipate 65% travel and can work remotely when not traveling.

responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end commissioning, functional testing, and performance verification for mechanical, process, and control equipment
- Review P&IDs, engineering drawings, and control narratives to develop detailed commissioning plans and test checklists
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues during startup phases to ensure optimal system performance
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and customers to seamlessly align site schedules and activities
- Document test results, punch-list items, and final acceptance reports while enforcing strict site safety protocols
- Provide technical guidance, operational training, and post-commissioning support to customer site personnel
