responsibilities:
- Oversee daily safety compliance for Our Client, conducting regular inspections to prevent slips, trips, and falls while ensuring strict adherence to OSHA, LOTO, and machine guarding protocols.
- Document daily safety observations, maintain accurate logs, perform root-cause analysis for site incidents, and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
- Assist in implementing annual H&S Action Plans (such as SMAT and Permit to Work) and coordinating specialized initiatives, including the Forklift Safety Program.
- Facilitate monthly EH&S meetings, write and distribute safety program aids, and lead comprehensive H&S orientations for visitors, contractors, and site staff.
- Partner with supervisors, managers, and hourly operators to resolve safety concerns, distribute instructional materials, and lead by example to champion safety.
