Electrical Controls Engineer needed for immediate direct-hire consideration in the Manchester, VT area. We are seeking a driven controls engineer to support the design of custom automated machinery for a variety of clientele. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be working closely with cross functional teams developing custom versions of our state of the art machine platform.
The right person for this role will be well-versed in working with Automation Direct, Allen Bradley, Panasonic HMI and PLC platforms with the ability to define technical customer requirements for automation, controls and coordinated tooling movements for custom labeling equipment. This person will have exceptional communication skills, proven knowledge of robotics systems and enjoy being a roll up your sleeves problem solver. BSEE required, along with a minimum of 6 years of related experience, including Ladder Logic programming skills.

responsibilities:
- Define technical requirements for automation, controls, and coordinated movements for custom machinery
- Use SolidWorks Electrical and/or AutoCAD Electrical to design panel layouts, schematics, and wire run lists
- Create and maintain technical documentation to include BOMs, specifications, and instruction sheets
- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to evaluate specialty components and integrate them effectively into custom machine designs
- Support Technical Customer Team by providing guidance in the resolution of machine control issues
- BSEE required, along with a minimum of 6 years of related experience, including Ladder Logic programming skills
- Experience in PLC and HMI platforms such as Allen Bradley
- Experience with robotic systems and programming (Fanuc) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills-both written and verbal
- Experience with design software, i.e., Solidworks / AutoCAD Solidworks / AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
