Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading machinery manufacturer based near Winder, GA. Mechanical engineering projects include obtaining customer specifications and designing the mechanical components of the machinery.

responsibilities:
- Obtaining customer specifications and designing the mechanical components of the machinery
- Utilizing Solidworks as primary computer-aided design (CAD) platform for line layout creation / modification
- Design new products and systems that meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Modify existing designs in equipment to meet performance specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure machinery designs are properly fabricated, parts machined, and assembled which may include revising of mechanical design
- Conduct machinery mechanical testing and interfaces with other departments to coordinate work/projects
- B.S degree in Engineering
- Must have at least five (5) years experience in machine systems design within a manufacturing environment
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D) experience
- SolidWorks certification
- Sheetmetal experience
