Join Our Client as a Technician in Webster, NY to shape future connectivity! We seek a technician with 2+ years of fiber assembly, ribbonization, and fusion splicing experience to build advanced optical prototypes.

responsibilities:
- Perform detailed fiber preparation, including coating removal, cleaning, stripping, cleaving, and securing fibers into ribbons using specialized fixtures.
- Execute single-fiber and mass fusion splicing and connector termination, working carefully with delicate, high-density optical assemblies.
- Evaluate fiber end faces, splice quality, and overall workmanship using optical microscopes, and document key test data such as splice loss.
- Support prototype builds, development runs, and qualification samples while assisting engineering teams with fixture validation and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, highly organized, and safe laboratory or manufacturing workspace in compliance with chemical and optical fiber safety guidelines.
