Join a growing robotics startup company as a technical program manager in Salem. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of hardware project or program management within a highly complex industry with some functional safety knowledge. This is a contract role that could extend and possibly lead to a full time role within the company and the opportunity to work in a very exciting industry with cutting edge technology!

responsibilities:
- Own safety requirement tracking from definition through verification, collaborating with component vendors to maintain complete end-to-end traceability
- Drive early alignment across hardware, software, systems and test teams to clarify scope, technical dependencies, and success criteria
- Schedule and lead HARA, FMEA, and FTA sessions, capturing outputs and aggresively driving resulting action items across ME, EE, FW, systems, and test to resolution
- Run regular safety gate reviews, status syncs, and formal milestones, delivering clear notes, surfacing blockers, and escalating risks to leadership
- Maintain real-time issue, task, and test execution dashboards to track team throughput and ensure no bottlenecks stall the functional safety lifecycle
- Partner with safety engineers and peer TPMs to map safety deliverables directly into broader robotics engineering milestones and NPI sprint goals
- 5+ years of hardware project or program management within complex electro-mechanical fields
- Expertise with JIRA
- Knowledge of functional safety
