Responsibilities
- Address sensitive and confidential employee matters concerning benefits, leaves of absence, and ADA accommodations
- Promptly and professionally handle HR inquiries related to leaves and accommodations
- Advise employees and managers on HR procedures, relevant standards, and federal/state laws pertaining to leaves and accommodations
- Provide accurate information regarding time off, disability coordination, paid family leave, and paid time off usage
- Explain the benefits process during leave periods
- Stay current with federal and state legal and regulatory requirements affecting HR practices
- Process leave documentation in accordance with applicable laws and company policies
- Maintain precise records and files for leaves of absence and ADA accommodations
- Prepare leave of absence pay calculations for the payroll team, adhering to payroll schedules
- Ensure compliance with all state leave benefit programs and coordinate pay and leave entitlements accordingly
- Build and maintain working relationships with employees, managers, and various internal teams including Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, and the Employee Help Desk
- Act as a subject matter expert on leave and accommodation policies, incorporating updates driven by new legislation
- Support leave-related projects and initiatives as needed
