The Opportunity Are you a strategic negotiator who excels at bridging the gap between complex business needs and third-party solutions? We are seeking a Procurement Professional to serve as a subject matter expert in developing sourcing strategies for labor, services, and high-value equipment.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams through the entire contract lifecycle—from initial market analysis and RFX execution to final negotiations and long-term supplier performance management. You will be instrumental in de-risking our supply chain while maximizing value for critical business functions.
Your Impact
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement plans for high-value, complex requirements, matching business interests with market capabilities.
- Contract Architecture: Write and manage details for basic to complex contracts, including pricing, performance criteria, and risk mitigation terms.
- Negotiation Leadership: Design and lead negotiation strategies to secure optimal business deals and long-term contract compliance.
- Category Support: Partner with Category Managers to leverage spend analysis and market trends, informing competitive solicitations and sourcing events.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate with suppliers on the delivery of manufactured materials, managing transportation, storage requirements, and economic price adjustments.
- The Analyst: You possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret market data to inform sourcing decisions.
- The Communicator: You can build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring alignment on financial and strategic issues.
- The Project Lead: You are comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Accounting (Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for Consultant levels).
- Experience: 3 to 7+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain.
- Industry Preference: Experience within the Utility, Manufacturing, or Construction industries is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in contract administration, RFX processes, and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities
Procures goods and services with a high value or complex requirements.
Assesses business requirements, and matches procurement plans accordingly.
Executes sourcing strategies based on category manager guidance and leading practices.
Assists Category Managers with category strategy development.
Leverages market, supplier, and spend analyses to inform category strategies and competitive solicitations (e.g. RFXs).
Coordinates and leads cross-functional category teams during sourcing events.
Performs any required contract administration work related to a sourcing event.
Develops negotiating strategy and leads negotiations.
Writes the summary and details for basic to moderately complex contracts, including pricing, business requirements, performance criteria, terms and conditions, and any risk mitigations.
Establishes effective relationships with business partners and suppliers to support category strategies.
Works with the Service Center to ensure transactional and customer support services are aligned with category strategies.
Coordinates with key suppliers and business partners on the delivery of high-value manufactured equipment and materials, including any transportation and storage requirements.
Manages contract compliance and administration for high-value manufactured equipment and materials including economic price adjustments, replacement programs, and credit programs.
Leverages contract knowledge to mitigate risks and maximize contract value.
