Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process by ensuring all sub-ledgers are finalized and financial statements are prepared for review.
- Maintain the General Ledger and chart of accounts to ensure all financial data is organized and accurate.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and GL reconciliations to ensure data integrity across all operating entities.
- Research income statement fluctuations and provide clear reporting on budget-to-actual variances.
- Assist senior management in preparing accurate financial reporting packages for leadership review.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide the data and support needed for the annual budget process.
- Identify and suggest ways to improve accounting workflows and drive cost savings across the organization.
- Oversee the daily flow of Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure vendors are paid and revenue is captured.
- Manage daily cash application activities and monitor bank balances for multiple locations.
