A client of ours in the manufacturing industry located in Georgetown, Kentucky is seeking a Production Control Clerk to join their team.  This position is responsible for ensuring customer orders and realistic delivery commitments are met. This position creates work orders and collects production data to support program management in analyzing production volume, material usage, quality control, and other key operational metrics. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package. 

salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and shipment tags to support outbound logistics.
  
  
• Perform accurate and timely data entry into relevant databases.
  
  
• Print and distribute Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) reports as needed.
  
  
• Ensure prompt delivery and accuracy of Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).
  
  
• Maintain and update daily shipping records and documentation.
  
  
• Receive incoming steel shipments and generate appropriate tags.
  
  
• Coordinate and prepare miscellaneous shipments as required.
  
  
• Review and cross-check trucking invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  
  
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand and meet their shipping and product needs.
  
  
• Assist in developing daily shipping schedules to support Production Control in reporting monthly production outcomes and inventory balances.
  
  
• Generate material release orders to ensure timely material flow.
  
  
• Monitor and replenish shipping supply inventory as needed.
  
  
• Verify all shipping documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  
  
• Record daily inspection reports to maintain quality standards.
