Responsibilities
- Review applicant medical history, data, and interview notes to support accurate underwriting decisions
- Utilize third-party software to summarize and assess medical and health-related information
- Draft and send professional written correspondence to applicants or brokers regarding outstanding application requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient processing of insurance applications
- Minimum of 2 years of insurance or medical experience, preferably within medical insurance or a pharmacy benefit management (PBM) setting
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or phone-based environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and common conditions or prescriptions
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently in a high-volume environment
