We are seeking an A/R Billing Specialist to join our Business Office team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Daytona Beach. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in medical billing and an understanding of accounts receivable processes within a healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (required)
  
  
• Experience in medical accounts receivable
  
  
• Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR software (Athena preferred)
  
  
• Workers’ Compensation A/R experience is a plus
  
  

salary: $17 - $19 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Manage and follow up on outstanding insurance claims
  
  
• Correct and resubmit denied or unpaid claims
  
  
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues
  
  
• Submit appeals and required documentation
  
  
• Issue refunds to patients and insurers when needed
  
  
• Respond to patient inquiries about billing and balances
  
  
• Support patient services and cover team members as needed
  
  
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and insurance regulations
  
  
• Deliver professional and compassionate customer service
