Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to electronic requests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Register new patients and verify required information as needed
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed
- Verify patient's insurance coverage or determine patient self-pay responsibility
- Provide accurate information and assist with inquiries about services
- Troubleshoot issues and handle complaints professionally
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and institutional policies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records and scheduling systems a plus
