We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide essential intake and administrative support for patients being admitted to the hospital, receiving outpatient care, or accessing treatment services. Your responsibilities will include gathering and verifying patient information, processing insurance details, collecting co-pays, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration experience.

salary: $18 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 7 PM

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient interviews to collect and verify demographic and insurance information.
  
  
• Ensures timely reimbursement by verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining necessary authorizations within designated timeframes.
  
  
• Accurately enters and updates patient information in the registration system, confirming data accuracy and completeness.
  
  
• Provides patients and authorized external parties with accurate information regarding medical procedures, financial obligations, and general inquiries.
  
  
• Discusses financial matters with patients and/or their families, including payment arrangements and coverage details.
  
  
• Facilitates efficient patient flow by directing individuals to appropriate departments, arranging transport, answering calls, and providing general clerical support.
  
  
• Maintains and updates patient charts; prepares required documentation and manages inventory of office and medical supplies.
  
  
• Actively participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient service operations.
  
  
• Supports the onboarding and training of new staff within the patient services department.
