We’re looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our energetic, fast-paced team. You'll be the engine behind the scenes, keeping our deliveries on track, our drivers informed, and our customers happy.
salary: $13 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing (AKA How You’ll Keep Us Rolling):
- Tackle everyday office tasks to keep operations humming smoothly
- Update account managers on problem loads and action steps taken—you're the calm in the chaos
- Keep our receivers and customers in the loop about load statuses
- Monitor pickups and deliveries like a hawk—because on-time and intact is your thing
- Take check calls from drivers and make sure everything’s on schedule
- Investigate overages, shortages, and damages like a logistics detective
- Schedule (and reschedule!) delivery appointments like a boss
- Provide clear, concise, and foolproof directions for drivers—no detours on your watch
- Assist with routing decisions and accept or decline loads based on team guidance
Must-Haves:
- At least 1 year of logistics experience
- General understanding of the transportation industry
- A sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- The ability to take instruction (written, verbal, or diagrammed) and run with it
- Experience writing reports or handling transportation documentation
