We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Jacksonville, FL. This position will provide essential support with special projects. The Temporary Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and supporting the overall financial operations. While temporary in its current form, this role could turn permanent in the near future for the right match. 

salary: $28 - $32 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Proficiency with accounting software and and advanced Microsoft Excel skills - VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Assist with the preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Prepare and analyze financial reports as needed
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and cash application
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Support audit preparations by gathering requested documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to support the finance department
