Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join their team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing comprehensive logistics support, including order entry, dispatch coordination, traffic monitoring, and delivery scheduling. You'll play a key part in ensuring our freight operations run smoothly and that customer expectations are met with efficiency and accuracy. Location: Madison, IN Rate: $21.00 per hour Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer load information and maintain updated profiles in the Freight Optimizer system
• Communicate with account managers regarding load issues and resolutions; update customers and receivers on delivery status
• Monitor and track daily pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring shipments arrive on time and in good condition
• Take driver check calls, confirm delivery schedules, and validate load data prior to closing for accounting purposes
• Investigate and document product overages, shortages, and damages
• Manage delivery appointments—scheduling, rescheduling, accepting, or declining loads based on account manager input
• Provide drivers with detailed routing instructions to ensure efficient delivery
