Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements, internal reports, and assist with year-end closings
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Process payroll and ensure tax compliance (sales tax, payroll tax, and other filings)
- Track and maintain fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory-related accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with accurate data and reporting
- Collaborate with external tax professionals and auditors as needed
- Identify discrepancies and take initiative to resolve issues independently
- Learn and utilize the company’s ERP/accounting system (experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus, but not required)
- 5+ years of experience in a full-charge bookkeeping or similar accounting role
- proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)
- Prior experience in construction, contractor services, distribution, or inventory-heavy environments is highly preferred
- Understanding of GAAP, sales tax filings, payroll, and reconciliation processes
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independently
- Comfortable communicating with leadership and non-financial staff
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required

Responsibilities
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and supporting leadership with timely and accurate financial reporting. This includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and maintaining the general ledger. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and capable of identifying and correcting discrepancies proactively.
Responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and handling collections. The bookkeeper will be expected to post journal entries, maintain accurate financial records, and perform month-end and year-end closings. They will also prepare internal financial reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and coordinate with external tax professionals as needed.
The role requires proficiency in QuickBooks, a understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred), and experience with sales tax, payroll, and depreciation. Knowledge of inventory accounting and job costing is highly preferred.
Additional duties include supporting payroll processing, managing fixed asset schedules, and maintaining documentation for audits and compliance. The bookkeeper must be able to communicate financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders and contribute to improving processes and reporting efficiency.
