Responsibilities
- Process and submit Medicaid claims for rendered services.
- Confirm patient insurance eligibility and coverage details.
- Review claims for completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and other billing discrepancies promptly.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding claims and manage appeals when necessary.
- Stay current with evolving billing regulations and specific payer guidelines.
- Work closely with support staff to ensure seamless billing processes and documentation.
- Accurately input and update billing data within electronic health record (EHR) and billing platforms.
- Generate billing reports and provide support during financial reviews.
