Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and format a variety of legal documents, including but not limited to pleadings, contracts, corporate records and correspondence
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, court appearances, and conference calls to keep everyone on schedule
- Accurately record billable hours and assist with preparing client invoices
- Perform searches with various Secretaries of State for corporate records, UCC filings, and other relevant information
- Conduct basic legal and factual research using online databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER), public records, and other resources
- Collect, organize and review corporate records, contracts, litigation records, and financial statements.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files, ensuring all documents are properly categorized, labeled, and easily retrievable
- Acting as a professional point of contact for clients, answering inquiries, and assisting with new client intake procedures
