Responsibilities

• Process, track, audit, and maintain up to 400 PO's per month related to capital equipment purchases
• Stay up-to-date on all new developments related and relevant to materials and supplies
• Interact with stakeholders, accounting, plant management, executive management, and procurement/supply chain team members to provide the most optimal pricing for the right quality of product
• Negotiate with vendors and make internal recommendations designed to reduce costs 
• Maintain meticulous purchasing records
• Plan purchases based on material management's forecast of raw material usage to ensure optimum inventory levels
• Analyze purchasing data and provide reporting to leadership that is instrumental for scheduling, planning, budgeting, etc
• Continuously monitor key suppliers' financial status and what is happening within the global financial market
• Maintain tier 2 supplier relationships in case of needing to pivot relationships
• Continuously evaluate potential suppliers 
• Create, manage, and audit records of approved and potential suppliers
• Conduct external audits and evaluations of suppliers
• Work closely with Senior Leadership on ad-hoc special projects and requests
