Position Overview
As a Rating Specialist in Commercial Lines Service Operations, you'll be crucial in determining premiums for risks using automated and/or manual methods. You'll also process subsequent transactions and issue policies through various systems and resources, including POS, PMS, ACT, Policy Creator, Microsoft Excel, and iBank. Your work will directly contribute to meeting stringent quality and service standards.

Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in rating 1-3 lines of business using automated and/or manual methods.
- Ensure timely and accurate issuance of Commercial Lines policies, quotes, endorsements, and subsequent transactions.
- Collaborate with Underwriters and Underwriting Technicians to deliver accurate products to customers, agents, and insureds.
- Rate and issue new business, renewals, quotes, endorsements, non-renewals, rewrites, cancellations, and more for small and middle market segments, utilizing both automated systems (POS, PMS, ACT) and manual methods (e.g., manual declaration creation, manuscript endorsements).
- Interpret issuance and rating instructions from Underwriters for various policy transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to agents and insureds, handling inquiries, resolving errors, and fulfilling requests.
- Stay current with changing conformance/compliance issues, procedural, system, and workflow updates.
- Offer customer service support to Commercial Lines Underwriters through clear written and verbal communication.
- Foster strong relationships within the Commercial Lines Underwriting team with support from senior staff.
- Act as a resource for the Management Team and Underwriting for high-priority rushes and errors within your skillset.
- Receive regular direction on work priorities from mentors and management, ensuring adherence to SLAs and escalating potential missed deadlines.
