Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Manage day-to-day personnel issues, fostering positive employee relations and engagement.
- Benefits Administration: Fully own benefits administration, including enrollment, renewals, and open enrollment processes. This includes managing a full suite of benefits and a generous 401k match.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate new employee onboarding and manage termination processes.
- Policy & Compliance: Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- HRIS Management: Utilize Paylocity HRIS for payroll and employee profiles, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for and implement improvements to current manual and spreadsheet-based HR processes, driving modernization and scalability.
- Recruitment Support: Facilitate job postings and initial resume filtering; collaborate with department managers who handle the full recruiting process.
- Workers' Compensation: Have a hand in aspects of workers' compensation, collaborating with the safety manager.
- Payroll: Payroll could potentially report to this role.
- Experience: 3-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a technician or blue-collar workforce environment, such as commercial HVAC or similar industries.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to improve processes and think strategically about HR scalability for a growing company. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Experience with Paylocity HRIS is a plus.
- Mindset: Positive energy, a growth-oriented mindset, and a drive to help the company reach its next level of maturation.
- Education: While not strictly required, a degree is preferred. SHRM certifications and a commitment to continuous education are highly valued.
- Work Environment: Willingness to work on-site at least four days a week in the new Allen office.
