Responsibilities
- Lead and manage infrastructure and hardware-related projects across physical and virtual environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to create capacity models and forecasts based on business growth, usage trends, and emerging technologies.
- Maintain and assess hardware inventory, identifying opportunities for reuse and lifecycle extension.
- Develop strategies for hardware redeployment, upgrades, and refurbishment.
- Partner with finance teams to build budget estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Communicate technical requirements and capacity planning strategies to stakeholders.
- Plan and allocate physical space in data centers, ensuring power and cooling needs are met.
- Establish and promote standardized capacity planning methodologies and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in capacity planning, infrastructure management, or IT resource forecasting.
- strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and data center operations.
- Experience designing and managing physical labs and environments, including port mapping.
- Proficiency in budgeting, procurement, and financial planning in IT environments.
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience with data analysis tools and capacity planning software.
- Understanding of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL.
- Exposure to automation and monitoring tools for capacity planning.
