Responsibilities
- Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements to maximize financial return.
- Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on operational and capital expenditures.
- Perform month-end close activities, journal entries, internal controls, and financial reconciliations.
- Collaborate with HR, production, shipping, maintenance, and purchasing to ensure accurate financial documentation and timing.
- Review and validate payroll entries, production hours, freight receipts, and vendor invoices.
- Investigate discrepancies in invoices and receipts and work with AP/AR teams to resolve them.
- Utilize SAP, Excel, Analysis for Office, and Witron to manage financial data and generate reports.
- Participate in special projects, cost analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and accounting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- 3–5 years of finance or accounting experience; manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, and business operations.
- Comfortable working across departments and communicating with vendors and corporate offices.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial systems; experience with SAP, Analysis for Office, and Witron strongly preferred.
- Sharp problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
