We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in full-cycle accounting and a particular expertise in reconciliations, including complex vendor statement reconciliations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, preparing financial statements, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency with ERP systems (Syspro experience a plus), Concur, and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review all aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account analyses.
• Prepare and analyze complex account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, ensuring all variances are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Take the lead on vendor statement reconciliations, working closely with the accounts payable team to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize Syspro for general ledger activities, reporting, and transaction processing.
• Manage the expense reporting process using Concur, ensuring compliance with company policy and accurate posting to the general ledger.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and other formulas, to analyze large datasets and streamline reconciliation processes.
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports.
• Support external audit requests by providing accurate and timely documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounting department.
• Stay current with accounting principles and regulations.
