We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Representative to join our client (a manufacturing company). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable function, including cash applications, collections, and account reconciliation. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly SAP.

salary: $24 - $27 per hour

Responsibilities

• Cash Applications:
  
  
  • Apply cash receipts, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks, to the correct customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner within the SAP system.
    
    
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and short payments by working with customers and internal departments.
    
    
  • Post and reconcile all cash application activities daily.
    
    
• Collections and Research:
  
  
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively contact customers to ensure timely payment of invoices.
    
    
  • Conduct thorough research to resolve billing disputes, short payments, and other payment-related issues.
    
    
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activities and customer communications.
    
    
• Account Management:
  
  
  • Communicate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve customer-related issues.
    
    
  • Prepare and generate various accounts receivable reports, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
    
    
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
