We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is crucial for maintaining healthy cash flow and build relationships with our suppliers and customers within our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Generate and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  
  
• Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and correspondence, adhering to established procedures.
  
  
• Process and apply incoming payments (bank transfers, checks) accurately to customer accounts.
  
  
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
  
  
• Prepare regular AR aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
  
  
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve billing issues and improve collection processes.
  
  

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Receive, verify, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  
  
• Obtain necessary approvals for payments in accordance with company authorization matrix.
  
  
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and checks for vendor payments.
  
  
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and maintain  vendor relationships.
  
  
• Manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policy.
  
  
• Maintain accurate vendor records and files.
  
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and journal entries related to AR/AP.
