Responsibilities
- Insurance Monitoring & Renewal: You monitor insurance expirations for various types of coverage, including hazard and flood insurance. You ensure timely receipt of renewal or replacement policies and send out reminder letters to borrowers. You also manage a shared inbox for all related requests and inquiries.
- Policy Review & Accuracy: A critical part of your role is to review new and renewed policies for accuracy and adequate coverage, especially for flood insurance. You research and resolve complex customer inquiries and close information gaps by contacting insurance carriers.
- Vendor & Claim Management: You work directly with insurance vendors to order and cancel forced-placed insurance. You also handle new insurance loss requests, guiding customers through the claims process from start to finish and properly documenting all activity.
- Data & Compliance: You order and review flood determinations, perform flood calculation worksheets for new loans and renewals, and ensure all insurance information and correspondence are uploaded to the imaging system. You review system and vendor reports to ensure accuracy and maintain up-to-date procedures.
- Training & Team Support: You assist with training new team members on insurance functions and coordinate special projects as assigned by your supervisor.
