Under the general direction of the VP, Loan Servicing Manager, responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Escrow Administration are performed in a timely and accurate manner while remaining compliant with established policies and procedures. The Escrow Officer is responsible for providing a second level of expertise and guidance to Loan Servicing staff and to other departments’ staff, i.e. Lenders and Loan Assistants in operations.  This would include SME regarding escrow servicing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Escrow Administration: You're responsible for the complete administration of escrow accounts, including managing insurance, taxes, conducting analyses, and performing audits. This involves ensuring the accuracy of insurance data and disbursements, handling lender-placed insurance, and processing loss draft claims.
  
  
• Compliance & Process Management: You establish and maintain operational best practices and desktop procedures to ensure all activities are in compliance with regulations like RESPA and the Homeowners Protection Act. You also stay current on regulatory changes related to taxes, insurance, and flood requirements.
  
  
• Vendor & Quality Control: You oversee vendor performance, escalate issues to management, and monitor all operational practices to ensure they meet service level agreements. You also perform daily general ledger reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
  
  
• Customer Service & Team Support: You handle inquiries and complex issues from both internal and external clients regarding their escrow accounts. You respond to calls and manage a departmental email inbox, ensuring requests are addressed promptly. You also assist with team management, including coaching, performance evaluations, and training.
