Randstad has partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing company in Las Vegas on an exclusive search for a skilled Cost Accountant. Our client is preparing to launch a new in-house manufacturing operation and is seeking a foundational member for their finance team.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to do more than just maintain the books—you'll help build the entire cost accounting function from the ground up. If you are a hands-on accountant with a passion for manufacturing, this role is for you.
salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard costing methodologies for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Perform month-end close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and variance analysis.
- Track and analyze manufacturing costs, comparing standard costs to actual production costs and reporting on variances.
- Maintain the perpetual inventory system and reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports as part of the month-end close cycle.
- Support the Controller with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects related to the manufacturing launch.
