Our client is looking for a tenured bookkeeper to help with the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. They are located in Rhode Island and looking for a candidate to fill this role as soon as possible. **RELEVANT CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED AND SENT DIRECTLY TO THE HIRING TEAM WITHIN 48 HOURS OF APPLYING**

Responsibilities

• Verifies and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in the general ledger from documents such as receipts, invoices, and computer printouts.
• Performs check processing for: general expenses, loss & loss adjustment payments, underwriting refunds, and monthly commissions.
• Reconciles daily cash activity to the general ledger and reconciles monthly company bank accounts.
• Scans checks & records daily cash deposits for transmission to the bank.
• Creates and enters certain daily / monthly entries into the general ledger.
• Maintains agent ACH form updates for direct bill commission payments in the Citizens Bank online portal and prepares file for monthly payments to agents.
• Performs daily imports and exports from Citizens Bank for positive pay process.
• Maintains / reconciles petty cash box for company.
