Responsibilities
- Analyze project documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Source and evaluate multiple vendors when necessary.
- Engineer optimal production plans for each project.
- Provide quotes based on the most economical and efficient production methods.
- Plan jobs using various substrates and printing techniques.
- Revise estimates as specifications change.
- Perform job cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials and production capabilities.
- Prepare estimates for management use in planning and scheduling.
- Identify appropriate suppliers and internal resources for each quote.
- Collaborate with sales, vendors, and internal departments to resolve estimate-related issues.
- Maintain and improve estimating procedures and standards.
- Ensure quality standards are met before delivering quotes.
- Advise team members on project specifications and production options.
- Promote additional services or products to existing customers.
- Communicate pricing, timelines, and project details to customers.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
- Generate and maintain required reports.
- Work flexible hours as needed to meet deadlines.
