We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payment Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in processing various payment types, including wire transfers and ACH payments, within a ERP system environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that all vendor payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies.

salary: $25 - $28 per hour

Responsibilities

• SOX experience or has worked for a publicly traded company where invoice processing and payment execution is a segregation of Duties
• Process and execute domestic and international wire transfers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage weekly ACH payment cycles, handling payments for approximately 100 vendors per week.
• Prepare and cut up to 50 physical checks weekly, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.
• Utilize ERP system for all payment processing, vendor maintenance, and payment record-keeping.
• Perform daily and weekly reconciliation of payment transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records, including payment information and terms, ensuring data integrity within ERP.
• Use Microsoft Excel at a moderate level to track payments, create reports, and perform analysis.
• Respond to payment-related inquiries from vendors and internal departments in a professional manner.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to cash disbursements.
