We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Route Settlement Clerk to join our team. This role is essential for our daily operations, serving as the final point of accountability for all delivery routes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation of all financial and inventory data, ensuring the integrity of our sales and collections.

salary: $22 - $23 per hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Financial Reconciliation: This is the main duty. They audit and reconcile a driver's daily paperwork, including invoices, cash receipts, credit card payments, and checks, to ensure the total collected matches the sales made.
• Inventory Auditing: They verify that the number of products sold, returned, or marked as "damages" matches the inventory a driver started with. This includes investigating any discrepancies, known as "over/shorts."
  
  
• Document Management: They manage a high volume of paperwork, including delivery tickets, load sheets, and invoices. This often involves scanning, organizing, and uploading these documents into the company's financial systems.
  
  
• Problem-Solving & Communication: They act as a liaison between drivers, sales teams, and accounting. A significant part of the job is investigating and resolving discrepancies, such as missing payments or inventory variances. This requires strong analytical and communication skills to find and fix errors.
• Data Entry & Reporting: They use specialized software and sometimes spreadsheets (like Excel) to input data from the routes and generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports on sales, collections, and discrepancies.
