Responsibilities
- Performs daily analysis of product sales, inventory levels, and outstanding Purchase Orders (PO’s) to determine when reordering is necessary.
- Meet/communicates with vendors to negotiate pricing, make early buy decisions based on discounts, analyze product quality and delivery, and discuss new products.
- Continuously creates, reviews, and updates purchasing orders (PO’s) for delivery, pricing, and volume, following up for upcoming and past due deliveries. Creates and process inbound shipments for every delivery.
- Regularly reviews and negotiates pricing and quantity discounts with vendors.
- Communicates with vendors to obtain information necessary to onboard new products and issue purchase orders. Source products from new or alternative vendors if needed.
- Works with Brand Manager and Lead Content Listing Specialist to onboard new or improved branded products. This includes reviewing packaging, product descriptions, manuals, labels, and photos for clarity and accuracy.
- Coordinates with Customer Service and Returns Department on customer returns and warrantied product, determining whether to obtain a vendor credit and/or return the product to the vendor. Provide warranty sheet to Customer Service.
