What You'll Do:
As a Fiscal Assistant, you will be the backbone of the financial operations that support our client's mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial Processing: Handle monthly and weekly check runs to pay client bills, process check deposits, and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Client Advocacy: Complete applications for clients to receive essential benefits and work directly with government agencies like the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Social Security Administration (SSI) to secure entitled benefits for clients.
- Account Management: Perform monthly and annual reconciliations on client accounts and prepare reports for various government agencies.
- Collaboration: Communicate with caseworkers and vendors to resolve any issues that may impact clients.
- Project Support: Work on special programs and perform other related duties as assigned to support the organization's goals.

- Experience in a similar fiscal or accounting role, preferably within a nonprofit setting.

salary: $25 - $28 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities
- Monthly/weekly check runs to pay client bills
- Process check deposits, apply to correct client and save all relevant documents
- Complete applications for clients to qualify for benefits
- Work with variety of government agencies (e.g. DDS, SSI) to ensure agency clients receive entitled benefits.
- Communicate with case workers and vendors to resolve problems affecting agency clients.
- Perform monthly and annual reconciliations on client accounts.
- Prepare reports for government agencies.
- Work on special programs as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
