Responsibilities
Assist with managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Prepare and post complex journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions.
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger account analysis.
Ensure rigorous compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls, preparing audit-ready documentation.
Oversee fixed asset ledger maintenance and related depreciation schedules.
Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Mentor, train, and guide junior accounting staff on best practices for General Ledger and reconciliation procedures.
Review work prepared by other team members for accuracy and completeness, providing constructive feedback.
Act as a point of escalation for complex GL issues and ensure timely resolution.
Oversee the management and execution of weekly ACH cash concentration and distribution processes.
Act as the primary point of contact for banking partners (e.g., Bank of America, FDMS, AMEX), handling new account setups, user access, KYC changes, and general problem-solving.
Order and manage check scanners and other banking equipment for clinics.
Review and resolve negative bank account balances.
