We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Denials Specialist to play a crucial role in optimizing our reimbursement process by effectively managing and appealing denied claims.                                                 If you have a sharp eye for process improvement, we encourage you to apply!

salary: $23 - $25 per hour

work hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Process and appeal denied claims, prioritizing appeals from largest to lowest monetary value to ensure maximum and timely revenue recovery.
• Follow up with insurance companies to conduct professional and effective calls; following up on claims status, understand denial reasons, and pursue resolutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Coding and Billing departments to review denial trends and implement necessary changes in workflows and systems to proactively reduce future denials. 

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, collections, and denials management a plus
• Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with payers.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify root causes of denials, and implement corrective actions.
