Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
Oversee and manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and maintain accurate records to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Transportation Management:
Arrange for the transportation of goods, plan routes, and ensure transportation schedules align with delivery requirements.
- Documentation:
Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
- Issue Resolution:
Address and resolve any issues that arise during the shipping or delivery process, such as delays, damages, or errors.
- Shipment Coordination:
Plan, schedule, and track shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery, often coordinating directly with transportation providers, suppliers, and customers.
- Supply Chain Oversight:
Monitor all supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Data Analysis:
Regularly analyze logistical data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and make strategic decisions for optimizing operations.
- Supplier and Carrier Communication:
Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and other third-party service providers to negotiate rates and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Order Processing:
Process customer orders, ensuring their timely and accurate fulfillment, and maintain accurate customer service logs.
