- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety and/or Environmental Science or Safety and/or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 5+ years of environmental, health, and/or safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Location: Only candidates currently residing within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- 7+ years of environmental, health, and/or safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) certification.

Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
As the EHS Specialist, you will be a key driver of safety on-site, focusing on compliance, process improvement, and cultural change. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Program Ownership: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of OSHA and MESH compliance programs. This includes critical safety areas such as: PPE, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Machine Guarding, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Industrial Powered Trucks, Contractor Safety, and Hazard Communication.
- Safety Partnership: Collaborate with front-line leaders to drive a zero-incident EHS culture. You will provide daily EHS communications, guidance on policies, and actively involve production teams in proactive risk identification.
- Strategy & Goals: Support the EHS Manager in developing, maintaining, and achieving goals related to our corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
- Training & Analysis: Develop and conduct required EHS training. Track and perform analysis on both leading and lagging EHS indicators to drive effective improvements.
- Culture Campaigns: Develop and execute campaigns designed to promote and sustain a safety culture throughout the site.
