Responsibilities
- Receive payments with updated eligibility information, including retroactive and prospective adjustments and perform reconciliation to billing. Ensure accounts are accurate to meet set monthly financial and statistical requirements.
- Maintain accurate membership system by processing enrollment, terminations, transfers and demographic changes in a timely manner. Conform to service agreements and State and Federal regulations.
- Obtain and provide accurate eligibility information to Groups, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and members.
- If an immediate enrollment issue occurs, update system per internal immediate enrollment procedures.
- Manage group and individual accounts through billing processes, cash collection and distribution, customer service and reconciliation of account receivables.
- Reconcile Group and Individual accounts. Maintain membership database.
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Prior experience with Medicare is required.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related background within healthcare.
- Experience with receivables, reconciliation, and collections.
- Experience in membership and enrollment functions in healthcare.
