- Minimum 3+ years of dedicated, specialized experience managing complex Leave of Absence (LOA) programs in a high-volume corporate environment.
- Expert-level knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and complex state-specific leave laws (e.g., California, etc.).
- Proven experience working directly with third-party leave administrators.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency in an HRIS system; experience with Workday is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage a heavy caseload, and prioritize based on compliance deadlines.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Leave Management: Independently manage all leave of absence cases from initial request through return-to-work, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, military, personal, and state-specific paid family leave programs.
- Case Administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and third-party leave administrators, providing guidance on eligibility, required documentation, and return-to-work procedures.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain strict compliance with all federal (FMLA, ADA) and state-specific laws, ensuring all documentation and systems are accurate and auditable.
- System & Payroll Integration: Own the accurate tracking of all leave status, payments, and benefit continuation, ensuring seamless coordination with Payroll and our HRIS, Workday.
- Communication: Draft and manage all official leave correspondence, communicating complex regulations and policies clearly and with a high degree of empathy and confidentiality.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline leave processes and documentation to improve efficiency and the employee experience.
