Job Title: Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire) Industry: Logistics & Transportation Location: Henderson, NV (Onsite)  Pay Rate: $33.00 - $36.00/hr based on experience + benefits available Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Randstad is partnering with a Henderson-Based Logistics company in their search for a Staff Accountant who will play a critical role in our client's day-to-day accounting operations.    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts, assisting with regular close processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting for our various logistics divisions. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker who is comfortable working with large data sets and eager to prove themselves during the contract period for a permanent role.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record standard journal entries, including prepaid expenses, accruals, and allocations.
  
  
• Assist in the timely completion of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
  
  
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and investigate/resolve discrepancies.
  
  
• Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger, including recording additions, disposals, and depreciation (relevant to our fleet and warehouse equipment).
  
  
• Assist with preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  
  
• Experience: 2+ years of corporate accounting experience (experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain is a plus).
  
  
• Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel ). Sage experience is a plus! 
  
  
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and excellent communication skills.
