Randstad is partnering with a leading commercial real estate firm to find a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for a critical temporary contract role. This position will primarily focus on supporting the property accounting function during a high-volume period, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial data for commercial properties. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial real estate accounting and can integrate into the team immediately.

salary: $24 - $30 per hour

Responsibilities

• CAM Reconciliations: Assist with the preparation and review of Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations for commercial tenants, ensuring accuracy based on lease agreements.
  
  
• Accounts Payable (AP) Processing: Manage high-volume vendor invoice processing, coding invoices to the correct properties and general ledger accounts.
  
  
• Accounts Receivable (AR) Support: Assist with tenant invoicing, tracking incoming payments, and ensuring accurate posting of cash receipts.
  
  
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform basic bank reconciliations and assist in reconciling key balance sheet accounts related to tenant security deposits and prepaid expenses.
  
  
• Budgeting Assistance: Support the Controller and Property Managers with gathering data and preparing reports necessary for the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  
  
• General Ledger (GL) Support: Assist the accounting team with preparing and posting routine journal entries and ensuring data integrity.
  
  
• Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for Property Managers and senior staff as needed.
